Teaching License Renewal Information
If you have or had a state teaching license (certificate or credential) you will need to contact the state department of education (licensing board) which issued that license for information regarding renewal. If your license has expired or if you wish to obtain one from another state, you likewise need to contact the relevant state. Following are links to each state agency that have to do with teacher licensing. Some states have relatively simple ways to renew your license and some have very elaborate ways. Some state's web sites are easy to navigate and some are very difficult. Some state's language and policies are easy to understand and some are rather difficult. Some states require that you have an advisor from their state to assist you.
If you have or want to obtain a teaching certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), please contact them directly.
If your teaching certificate is from a country other than the US please contact the relevant agency. TIS will work with you once you have obtained relevant information about maintenance of your credential.
