05 Feb Where do I begin?
Where do I begin if I want to explore becoming
a teacher of children of missionaries?
Since you are exploring becoming a teacher of children of missionaries, you have landed at the right place. If you have a question about whether of not teaching these children is real missionary service, please be reassured that it is!
You can begin with prayer that the Lord will lead you in the direction He wants you to go. We have some Bible verses that are dear to us that you might consider as you think about going into missions.
Review this web site and become informed. In particular, read What it Means to be a Teacher of Children of Missionaries. Slow down and take your time. There is a lot of information here. This is an important time in your life.
Contact Teachers In Service if you have concerns or questions.
Navigate to mission organizations who process and send teachers of children of missionaries to the field or to specific schools for children of missionaries for more information. These schools are located in The Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe, The Pacific Area.
Project EdSend is a program that TIS has pursued with the Lord and many people for several years . This program, if and when the Lord determines it should come into existence, seeks to assume on a monthly basis MK teachers’ college education loan repayments.
I have worked with MK teachers all around the world since 1999. They are an incredible bunch of people and servants of the Lord. Please see their testimonies.
Thank you very much for considering joining this group of individuals in their work that contributes to the Great Commission of Christ.
